So we got the table finished! just in time. The funny thing about the pedestal and legs is that I ended up making it to narrow so I couldn't get my hands in to screw on the retaining nuts onto the bolts coming off the legs, so Jordan ended up having to assemble the legs for me...! I couldn't believe she was able to stick her arm up the shoulder into the pedestal, put washer on, and screw on all 8 bolts! She is becoming such a great helper! I am very proud of her.

So The school year starts next Monday! Jordan is entering Kindergarten as a home-school student! We are so excited. As part of the parlor makeover as our one room school house, We needed a new table for all the work they will be doing. To that end I am building one. Tonight I finished turning the pedestal on the mini lathe w/ extension!

School Table For Homeschooling

So we got the table finished! just in time.
